This is a great shot from rural America. The only thing I would do different is make a few adjustments to the highlights and midtones. The highlights washout the sky and cause a loss of detail.

My thanks to you both for taking the time to look and to comment. Paul, you are absolutely right - I did blow the cloud highlights in processing. I hadn't noticed. I've corrected it, and the print looks much better. Thanks!

Doug,you made me laugh out loud when I read your comment. This composition has perfect balance with the family hound in the lower corner. This reminds me of any small nearly deserted elevator town in my neck of the woods, only we leave our transmissions & rear ends in the front yard just in case someone may be in need of one. This is a real piece of work & should be published.

and the dog is pure gold... but the newness of the car´s incongruous, off-kilter with the atmosphere of the thing... I supposed an old decrepit chevy be a better fit! But we photographers, not magicians - we can adjust but never re-order the order of things.
