dabar 0 Posted March 14, 2008 Although derived from a photo, this bears NO resemblance to that photo. This is simply the result of my experimentation with the creation ofdramatic abstract effects. It may be a tad too much for some... I learn by trying everything I can think of, in every combination thatcomes-to-mind. With the vast gamut of artistic tastes of viewers, someone is sure to find something of interest. I hope that You are one of those people. Please let me know what you think, positive or negative. Thank You! Link to comment
lizweisiger 0 Posted March 14, 2008 David, this is my kind of image. I love seeing how you create such a different effect which is interesting and fun to view. I think it is an optical illusion as well, since I feel my eyes making the colors move - and the bar isn't even open. Link to comment
dabar 0 Posted March 14, 2008 Hi Liz, Like you, I explore, experiment and try to stretch the boundaries of my vision and whatever talent I may possess. I also look for new genres to explore from a different perspective. So many things in photography have been worked to near death... I try to see an entirely new way of approaching them. Sometimes it works! I also look for the seldom seen subjects that are all around us, and then see if I can find a unique way to portray them. Constant progress along the path of discovery is the goal, not the final destination. I even re-located to another country, The Philippines, to avoid the trap of sameness in my life. It sure worked! Life is interesting and fun again, with a few new flavors of trials to overcome. It's an adventure in living and not in the lost world of the `senior citizen' in the States. Living, loving, learning and laughing in Cagayan De Oro, Mindanao, Philippines. Regards, Dave Link to comment
lizweisiger 0 Posted March 15, 2008 David, many thanks for that wonderful response/commentary. Sometimes I feel like moving to another country or place too, simply because I need new stuff to photograph! (am I really that hooked?) But, I'll content myself to studying work from talented folks like you. Link to comment
