beartooth1 0 Posted March 14, 2008 Stunning shot....I sat here an looked for a while and could not find anything I would have done different other than maybe cropped a little more of the road at the bottom as I find my eye drawn to the road. Just my pennies worth. Ken Link to comment
oxymor0n 2 Posted May 4, 2008 thank you all for your kind words, it's great that this shot and the postprocessing turned out way better than I would have thought before, because I only allowed myself some 3 minutes for it since I had to run and catch up with my mother who was walking straight ahead :Dthat are those trade-offs you have to make when "taking a walk" with someone and trying to shoot at the same time juggling around with your tripod :) Link to comment
peter_daalder 0 Posted June 17, 2008 I knew I wouldn't be disappointed in your magnificent portfolio, after I spotted your great addition to the Hay or Straw NW thread. Immediately connected with this image, as we have many hairpin bends in Tasmania. The light and shadows, together with the curve in the road make for an excellent shot. Cheers, Link to comment
danielhristescu 0 Posted October 21, 2008 The light , colors and darks in your composition is great. Regards Dan Link to comment
q_az 0 Posted October 21, 2008 I don't quite understand the decidely gray cast to the sky on the left but blue on the right. The left has cirrus clouds so the gray is not due to cloud density or other natural casues. Why is the sky over the tree line on the left lightened? This is not natural at all. Given the softness of the shadows from bare branches and the super saturated color this must be an extended exposure shot probably at something like a 100 iso. This can give incredible colors late in the day like this shot exhibits. It would also explain why the strong light behind the tree doesn't overpower (despite the weak late afternoon sun angle) All in all though this shot looks like a painting. great stuff! mikayla_lashae_richardson 0 Posted October 23, 2008 This photo is very......... life describing! The curves in the road represent the curves in life! The overall colors are not happy and joyful, but their not sad or disturbing, their very warm colors but by the looks of the trees with very few leaves gives it the sense of fall(cold) In my opinion this is a very spectacular picture! afeinphoto 0 Posted November 1, 2008 The processing here is great...touch of orton? The feel truly is autumn. The one thing that is really bugging me is the haloing around the tree/treeline. Fix that up and it's a sure winner! aF Link to comment
ctwdaz 0 Posted November 4, 2008 The lighting and tone make this especially nice. It looks like the road to Mt. Palomar? Link to comment
thadley 15 Posted February 10, 2009 Fabulous shot - I love Fall. To move this from a 6/6 to a 7/7 the sky and the halo (left side mostly) should be adjusted. Warm regards, Link to comment
