This is really, really good! The touch of pastel pink in that sky really complements the blue tones that abound in the image. I like the trace of the Department of Water Resources' Wheeler Ridge Pumping Plant on the side of the hill in the background too. Excellent composition, and good find on your drive home! Cheers! Thanks Umair and Chris. I came across this scene because I missed my exit and had to backtrack across the Maricopa highway on the way back to Bakersfield. I managed two 4/4s which don't make a whole lot of sense. It may not be the most original, but there is nothing unaesthetic about this that I can see. Go figure!

Mark, you have captured something very incredible here, like a painting. Georgia O'Keefe comes to mind. The layers of blue on the horizon are excellent.
