dberryhill 3 Posted April 5, 2008 I think this is a wonderfully touching capture of the bond of two people, one at this moment more dependent on the other. It shows the caring, but what we do not see is the mutual sharing of the relationship, which is no doubt there. Very good! Link to comment
celasun 0 Posted May 10, 2008 This is the only photo I have clicked on the "critique forum" to see in normal view. Then, I saw it was one of yours. I wish I knew what made this photo special even at thumbnail view. The most plausible explanation I come up with is that it depicts a real human condition and shows real human beings at a natural, loving moment. The good composition, the excellent B&W conversion all come later. I realize that I find myself looking at photographs "with people in them" more and more frequently nowadays. I like photographers (and admire some) who accomplish recording "spontaneity" in a technically pleasing (should I say "correct"?) way. A well known photographer claims that photography without people has no merits (at least for himself). It took some time for me to grasp what he was talking about.Enough ranting! Thanks very much for sharing this photo... Link to comment
