An interesting idea! However, there is a lot of detail that distracts from the central leaf. I would suggest dulling or removing the white dots on the bench and use Photoshop or something like that to focus attention on the leaf by using a very slight blur filter. One idea might be to make the whole image black and white apart from the red leaf!

Hi Jan. Thanks for stopping by! Good advice, and I would love to act on it. But photoshop is out of my budget/ability right now. When the budget does allow, it's going to be used on a good macro lens. But who knows down the line. By the way, welcome to photo net.
