First of all my "respect" due to the fact that you managed to have a shot of the super elusive Serval during daytime!Few people have the chance even for a glimpse on this cat...well done!I like the warm "cloudy" colors on the photo and think that if the cat was gentle enough to raise it's head and open the eyes it would offer you a super shot!Anyway it is a beautiful portrait...nice work Donn

Thanks Theodore, I was very, very happy with this trip, and got to see several Servals, and get a number of images.

 

Part of what I liked about this image (and it does not seem to resonate with everybody) is that the eyes are closed. It feels to me like he's "choking down" his meal, with the rodent's tail stuck out and sort of a hunched-back posture of the cat.

 

He probably loves the meal, but this was my anthropomorphic interpretation :)

I love the way you caught the cat's face expresion. Despite the fact the subject does not contrast with the background, the shot is very good. Congrats! REgards, Marian.
