lonebearimages 0 Posted March 9, 2008 What I like about this is the light/shadow contrasts; and most importantly, his intense concentration and fascination. You can tell he's watched his mother with a camera a time or two! Well done! Cheers! Chris P.S. BTW, I just posted a B&W version of the ripples in the desert wash (Microscape IV) that you suggested. I really like it and appreciate you asking for it! C Link to comment
douglas rosenberg 0 Posted March 9, 2008 I really like this shot. The subject matter of the wonderment of the child as he tries to figure out what it is and what to do for the first time. The contrasts, the just ever so slight out of focus of the boys face and in B&W make this a really nice photo. I think I would have cropped it down to just the boy and the camera being full frame. Very nice work! Regards, Doug Link to comment
jeffl7 0 Posted March 9, 2008 What an honor! I can only imagine what photography will be like when your little guy begins snapping for real. It's going to be interesting to see who these little people develop into. Link to comment
adan1 0 Posted March 9, 2008 Wonderful! First lesson I guess? The curiosity in Gabriel's eyes and the way that he grabs the tripod is charmingly captured. He is blessed to grow up with a talent. Link to comment
godfather 0 Posted March 11, 2008 All my kids uses my old cameras too, but they have to deal with the digital versions :) Very good use of natural light, looks original. Link to comment
Emmanuel Enyinwa 0 Posted March 11, 2008 Oh, yeah, he has to learn the basics, camera controls, choice of film, everything. I have an old Burke & James 5x7 that just fascinates him. It sits in the living room, and he always goes over to stare. He is a naturally curious kid. Link to comment
davidorea 1 Posted March 11, 2008 When I saw his concentration, I thought he was deciding the speed using the zones system rules.:) Excellent capture, Emmanuel! Regards! Link to comment
skyjammer 0 Posted March 11, 2008 Awesome shot. I like the little man's intense concentration on his photographic hardware. He looks like he's fine-tuning for the finale shot Nice work. -Ade Link to comment
joe-tury 0 Posted March 13, 2008 If he's after Jeff, then he's doing some crazy motion capture, I'm sure. Looks like fun!! Link to comment

photodonn 0 Posted March 13, 2008 What great fun! This one is my favorite, with his serious concentration on the camera, and the camera being the focused point of the image as well. You must be proud on several counts :) Link to comment

snapshooter 0 Posted March 16, 2008 This is really cute and intense, Emmanuel. I thought maybe a bit of cropping top and bottom would accentuate that intensity. Got carried away and added catchlights too. Link to comment
Emmanuel Enyinwa 0 Posted March 16, 2008 Great job. How do you add catchlights? I might switch your image for mine. I just need to see of it's a big enough file. Thanks for the compliment and editing. Link to comment
robertinio 0 Posted April 6, 2008 Great. I hope he will have the art sense of his mother. Link to comment
bretsch 0 Posted April 7, 2008 Great! I couldn't help but to think of my son, he's still to young, but every time I take out the camera, looks back at me with very curiously.....any way, I'm really having a great time looking at this, and thinking both about the future, and the past, that was exactly the model of the first camera I used; though briefly (but that's another story).
