samrat 1 Posted March 6, 2008 I had a bit of a problem adjusting the brightness/contrast as there was a trade off between the darkness at the bottom of the stalk and the rich red colour. In the end, I settled for the colour. Please provide suggestions on how to obtain an optimum result in such situations. Thanks. Link to comment
antonius 0 Posted March 6, 2008 Samrat. I like the shot, it brings the texture shape and colour of the pepper out. However, there must have been some movement since the stalk is out of focus and it seems as if the rest of the pepper is also. The image lacks "punch" ito sharpness. It is difficult to shoot a shiny object so you still have to use some fill light such as a white card in order to bring the exposure within 1 EV of the total image. With fill light you will also be able to add significant more detail to the stem which has a lot of texture to add to the image (but that is if you want the stem to have detail, it is very subjective). Hope this helps. Regards. Antonius. Link to comment
