Doors, open and closed, light and darkness, the old and the modern, neat and dirty, all combined in a way that can cause various interpretations.

You are quite right PhoS. Our basic infracture is changing slower than communications, we are changing slower than tehnology..I have this urge to make a record of this..

this looks great and I do very much appreciate people working natural. but i would love to see this HDR because of the bricks and old deteriorated walls. can you do it please please?

This photo speaks so much. Too bad there are so many people looking for explicit shocking photos.

Impressive juxtaposition !past present and and future, entire life are present in this image.

Sometimes if we dwell too much in the past we become part of it. There is great connection here and the opened door with the woman walking out can represent the disconnection with things that tie us up with the past.

Vladimir this is the kind of photography I like very much as I think you know. You should do what you think is right but I NEVER show my RAW file to someone. This is a very good photo for sure but I really think it would be a superb one if you put a bit more attention to it. It's really one that's worth giving it all needed attention. Am not trying to change your phot as such, you're too good for that, but from where I'm sitting it's just screaming for a b&w conversion. Regards, Ton

it was not my intention to teach him a lesson or steal something. your innuendos don't fit. it's just sick to think like that.

I have absolutely no idea why you should think any innuendo was intended here. I just expressed an opinion to Vladimir by way of advice. The reason for that is that I think that a photographer has to make that final choice and let us comment on his or her final result. I certainly would never show my RAW files here just as I would never show anybody my negatives. That was all and had nothing to do at all with you. I don't even know you so why should I even think that.

In fact I think it's commendable if people try to help in a constructive way. That's what you did and that's what I tried to do. So all in all I think we have a complete misunderstanding on our hands here although I honestly don't feel it's of my doing.

Earlier I gave another photographer on this site the advice to never upload two versions of the same photo because people are going to compare them while they forget to comment on the actual content. Although somewhat different it's also comparable in the way that I often give people advice on how to handle their work.

Andrei, as a courtesy to Vladimir I would like to propose that if we need to talk about this some more we do that by mail. You can contact me via tonmestrom@home.nl

@Vladimir, I regret that this has to happen on one of your postings.

I sent you a b&w version by mail. Since I'm nit sure if you seen it I'll post it here anyway. If you don't like it I'll delete right quick. BR Ton
