ritachi 0 Posted March 6, 2008 I would like to see the color version if it exists. Congratulations. Link to comment
vidisorin 0 Posted March 6, 2008 Although you loose the cromatic impact it's better in B&W...seems more of a story....and the mood is improved....in the colour version the flower seems detached from the background...because of the additional light that brakes the inner rithm.....your B&W conversion has flatten the tones and brought a continuity between the planes.... Best regards Drop by... Link to comment
ritachi 0 Posted March 6, 2008 the coloured version is amazing, the background fantastic and the light on flowers perfect!!!! I like both the photos. Ciao. Link to comment
bertr 0 Posted March 7, 2008 This is just another example of the vast superiority of colour over b&w... In fact it is the very colouration of the back ground which allows this flower to stand out in all its beauty. The yellow tinges make this flower whole... I would rate the b&w version as a 5, and the colour version as a resounding 10... Bert Link to comment
sam_pan 0 Posted March 9, 2008 Floriana, I prefer the color over the b&w, it adds additional interest of the colorful sky. great exposure and detail. I would give 7/7 for the color version. Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted March 10, 2008 Floriana, what I like here is the unusual knd of flower well placed on the frame. I like the B/W that lets the viewer concentrate of the nice composition and flower form. good light and BG. Link to comment
ed_nadel 0 Posted May 23, 2010 I have to cast my vote with Bert, the color version is superior. In the B&W the composition might well have been accented with stronger contrast and perhaps blending with the threshold filter.ed Link to comment
