garry_young1 1 Posted March 8, 2008 Thanks Floriana. My first impression was it may be too busy, but that is part of the dynamic in these graveyards, so I was happy to see you felt the detail was clear. Link to comment
garry_young1 1 Posted March 8, 2008 Too busy? There is very little space in Asia, so graveyard space is at a premium, hence the crowded aspect. Please advise/comment. Thank you. Link to comment
aeh 0 Posted March 8, 2008 Very nice photo. Interesting scene! I assume that the Graveyard is much larger than this? Well done, Al Link to comment
garry_young1 1 Posted March 8, 2008 Thanks Al. Yes, the graveyard is a lot larger, but not as large as you would think. There are hundreds of graveyards in this city (Taichung), and the space issue is a problem. The deceased go through various stages of reburial which is important in Buddhism. Most of these graves contain a family burial spot where bones/ashes are interned from many different generations. Every year the families come out in April to sweep and clean around the tombs. I hope to respectfully record that in April. Link to comment
