adan1 0 Posted March 3, 2008 What an intense and passionate capture, I dare to say almost forceful. Masterfully done in B&W against a dark background. The expression on the guy's face is fascinating. Link to comment
mikestacey 0 Posted March 4, 2008 Central composition with all the black space heightens the drama Pnina, well done. Link to comment
cherlyn 1 Posted March 4, 2008 I like that swirl of motion. Strong & fill with character. Link to comment

petemillis 0 Posted March 4, 2008 This is a great image. For some reason I am seeing something more disturbing than love and passion - I'm seeing some big bloke grabbing someone to take them away! It sends shivers down my spine. Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted March 4, 2008 Pete, you are right! it will continue and it is "Life as a dance" and the life/love scenes are having doubts! Adan, Forceful.... well observed Link to comment
andrzejp 7 Posted March 5, 2008 I like this picture a lot. You have many great dance pictures, but this is my favorite. Link to comment
sheryl_w__blue_mt._ 0 Posted March 5, 2008 love the lighting and intensity, pnina... warm regards Link to comment
bosshogg 4 Posted March 5, 2008 It never ceases to amaze me that you take these images seemingly about and of dancers, but then they seem to transform and become more a statement about our humanity. Many like this one leave the impression that we are only seeing the tip of the iceberg, but unlike the real life iceberg, we seem to be able to dive in and feel, see and experience that which is below the surface. Excellent it is. Link to comment
dseltzer 0 Posted March 5, 2008 This is a fascinating shot, with many possible levels of meaning and interpretation. That complexity and mystery, along with the timing, technique and framing, make this a very fine piece of art. I'm enjoying looking at it now, and I'll certainly be back to study it more. Thanks for posting this fine shot. Best regards, David. Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted March 5, 2008 Andrew, this one probably " talks" to you at the most.... Sheryl, thanks for liking and commenting David M.that is what I try to do with my interpretation of the dance scenes. "Life as a dance" ,is my title to this series, but it is my aim in all of them.. Thanks for observing it. David Z. Each will "read" this one and the others in his own way. I think that you in your knowledge understands the different way people will react and interprete it. My way is what I wrote to the other David... "Life as a dance"..Thanks for expressing your point of view, I appreciate it ! Antanas, thanks as well. Link to comment
jeffl7 0 Posted March 6, 2008 I'm always amazed at how you can capture the perfect amount of movement in your pictures. Any less and the picture would be a static snapshot. Any more and the picture would just be a messy blur. This is a perfect example of your quick-trigger finger and your perfect sense of timing. Link to comment
paula grenside 0 Posted March 6, 2008 She becomes almost evanescent because of the fast movement. A marvellous shot, Pnina. Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted March 6, 2008 Jeff, thanks for your vote of confidence to my dance work,I appreciate it, as it is not so easy... Paula, what I wrote to Jeff, applys to you too ;-)) Link to comment

gordonjb 10,860 Posted March 6, 2008 Jeff stole my thunder on this one. I agree with him completeley. What makes this and so many of your other dance images so special is your skill at merging the sense of motion with the feel of stillness. As is often the case with meaningful art, this image is open to an endless number of interpretations. You set our minds free! Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted March 7, 2008 Thanks Dale! I appreciate your comments! Gord, thanks for your feedback, coming from you a specialist of movement/ blur/ stillness, and significance! what more is needed ? ;-))just thanks and the pleasure to read you. Link to comment
