John Peri 1,003 Posted March 3, 2008 You know Jim, I not only look at images like these .. I study them. The fluidity of the movement is extraordinary, the way it moves upwards like a helix transporting our gaze to the eyes is quite remarkable .. I like the expression too with the somewhat quuering look. I don't think a more passive look would work as well. Quite definetely a winner .. a very original approach. I often think of works in terms of galleries. Exposed alongside others of a similar appraoch, this would gain still further in interest. Link to comment
JPPhoto1664880217 2 Posted March 3, 2008 I'm glad you like this image. I shot a series of this style (close in with a 10 mm lens) with this model yesterday. I plan to post more from this series soon and am interested in constructive feedback. The intent of this series is for her face/eyes/hair to be the subject and the distorted body cause the visual tension. FYI, this was truly a joint effort on both our (photographer and model) parts. She was able to interpret, and change when approriate, my very loose posing instructions. Jim Phelps Link to comment
