Looks like a fine place to live! Great Photo! The colors, the textures and the composition are all just wonderful. Nice work! Doug

You have indeed, a very good photo with fabulous clarity, but too much info in your border and you need to make your font smaller and/or centered. Very good tonal quality and use of 1/3's!! Regards, REM

Cher-

Yes, that's right. It's a short boat ride out of Port Clyde(Near Rockland) It's a gorgeous little artists' community/preserve that is a phenomenal place for painting and photography.

Man, I gotta say that this is one bucolic scene. Tack-sharp details in a phenomenal composition. I wish you'd stepped forward and eliminated the life ring and pole; but I suppose (Jiminy Christmas!) that folks here need to be prepared for all eventualities; and it is the subject of your composition. You should make sure that people view the larger version as it really pops out at you. Great shot, my friend. Maine is on my summer/fall 2008 plans. Cheers! Chris

I like the pole and life preserver. Isn't that what gives this its name. I think that it gives it more character and says "Maine the way life should be."
