Thanks Monte, that's one of my favorite parts of this scene. It's always interesting watching a parent raise their young, at least it is for me.

Nice moment you have here Donn...it's all about survival...watching...surviving...the sharpness.... the tones of earth..just plain fantastic...! Juan

Such a cute capture. I would bump up the contrast a tad to bring the main subject out of the background. But, otherwise, fine capture.

Folks, thanks for the kind words. Emmanuel, I actually did increase the contrast quite a bit already (selectively), but... well, their part of their defense is that they try to blend in :) It's easier to see when you make it LARGE - this is one of those images that just doesn't work so well in a small size.

I had an even bigger challenge with the 3 cheetahs in a row (entitled 3 of a Kind in the Kenya Cats portfolio).

Very cute capture. I like how detailed the photo is. I also like how the two are looking in different directions. Two different stages of life. Two different experiences.

Donn, not only lovely, sharp and cute. I also LOVE the way the mother is looking to the other direction than the chick. cheers Jana
