Meir, I find that I like most of the B&W's you post but this one is among my favourites. On my screen his face is a tad dark but mere seconds in PS uncovered a cure. So my bet is that the original doesn't require any tweaking and that it's just the limitations of the internet which causes me some grief. Very nice environmental portrait, sharp, with great expression. Hope your subject got a copy of this one. Best, LM.

Yes Len, I gave him a print. It seemed to me he could care less. He was not friendly from the start. I saw him only twice: take the picture and give the picture.

Meir, it's another good portrait but I can't make enough out of that background and therefore need your title to place him. You've got better ones

You are correct. I have better ones. But why do you have to place him? The photo is about him not the place and the title "objective" as it should be: not "subjective" so you cannot dispute it. The photo is not about the background. "Shoe Maker" if it were true would be a good title. The best title would be his name but I did not know that. So I picked "Shoe Repai Shop".
