meli d 0 Posted February 27, 2008 Mike, it is well seen and well taken . . . unless you are very attached to the blips of light along the left side, it might clean up the image to clone them out, which i hope you don't mind i took the liberty of doing. here it is. Thanks, Melody . (p.s. sorry for the size and its visibility here; it used to be that posting the larger size went as an attachment/link, not into the thread) Link to comment
dmo_galleries_chicago_phot 0 Posted February 28, 2008 Looks like it leans slightly to the left, so I might rotate slightly clockwise. Otherwise, nicely seen. Link to comment
Mike Marcotte 49,777 Posted February 28, 2008 Thanks for stopping & going to the trouble, but after I posted this, I knew it was a train wreck. This photo is like lots of my others, a backround, waiting for a subject. What this needs is someone in this stairwell sneaking a smoke or something. I actually waited for that to happen, but it never did. Thanks for the input. Now, I think I'll go out & take some more backrounds. Link to comment
dmo_galleries_chicago_phot 0 Posted February 28, 2008 I think you're being too hard on yourself. The zig-zag pattern of the stairs is great, and that and the gridwork of the windows creates a nice effect. I don't think anything's missing (maybe because none of my photos have people in them, so I tend to look at them as distractions). Link to comment
meli d 0 Posted February 28, 2008 I agree with Doug about the evident merit of this image; I make no critique about it not having any people and laud your patience in waiting it out to see if anything else came of it. Cheers, Mel. (I even tried to crop off some of the top to see if it improved any, but it didn't) Link to comment
