I see a lot of these where I live and it only means that the future is indeed looking dim. Usually they are yellow, red or blue. Does white mean something else?

This was on a large urban lot, and I am sure that the X is placed there to tell the tree cutters which ones to take out. From the looks of things there weren't going to be many trees left on the lot. Sad, considering the trees looked very healthy and mature, and all the blighted lots with dilapidated structures and piles of junk that could have been developed without doing so much ecological damage. But man has dominion over the world, and dominance seems to mean destruction all too often. I now leave my soapbox for the evening. Thanks for looking.

The X'ed trees and your treatment of the entire scene has the feeling of a fairytale. Only a gallant knight or an ecological Robin Hood could save these unfortunates now.

I wonder what is the P? (maybe you have written the P as a reminder ?....or just not forget to cut it down ?.... Joking...)

It is sad indeed the beautiful trees cutting. I appreciate your observation (in the other works of yours as well) uploading a reminder to all of us,as cutting the trees is a damage and serious future for our evironment.

I painted the "p" on there in your honor. LOL Interesting point about why. Also not the second "X" on the two right hand trees. Guess they thought there was some danger the first would be overlooked? Thanks for you comment. Truly appreciated. I like the way you and I bring such diverse subject matter from such far away and different places together.

This one does make a statement and is valuable for that. Behind the trees, that looks like a building standing there, but the colors and lines suggest a tennis court down below...a bit of optical illusion going on either way.

Well, not the fairytales they fed us in school. Those are the illusions societies dole out to their people to keep the herd moving in the same direction. Life, I've found, is a dis-illusioning process and quite rightly so. But in real fairytale you can find truth, sure enough

this is not a giant game of tic-tac-toe? Well, if the trees are very old and dying, or sick, then there is no tragedy in them coming down. Who knows, new ones might be planted there in return. Oh, wait, I decoded the first tree - it means "pee here". Cheers, Micheal

The trees looked just great. I'm pretty sure that they have just decided to develop the tract. I should have known you would crack the code. And that might explain the chipped bark.

I guess if Dogs can mark ther territory... then so can we. there is so much in this picture... that will soon be so little. I bet a harsh black and white version woudl just hit the viewer in the forehead. great shot my man.
