aepelbacher 0 Posted February 25, 2008 Looks like it could have been taken in 1972. (Was it?) Link to comment
dmo_galleries_chicago_phot 0 Posted February 25, 2008 Since I was born in 1979, it was not taken quite that early. However, I do appreciate the sentiment! Link to comment
katzpjs 50 Posted February 25, 2008 I'll bet that sign predates you. I can imagine cars from the '50s through the '70s sitting there in all their glory. Link to comment
dmo_galleries_chicago_phot 0 Posted February 25, 2008 Shawn, I bet it is a little older than I am. I was sorry to see there were only about 5 cars on the lot. I worry this place will be demolished soon. The majority of my photos lately were taken primarily for archival reasons. I love these old places and I fear they will soon be demolished in favor of generic condo buildings. Link to comment

raybrizzi 0 Posted March 5, 2008 Well, considering that all the cars are 1990s vintage (one with the year right on the windshield,) it's a pretty good bet that it wasn't taken that long ago. But we WANT it to be older for some reason because it has that classic 50-70s look and the black and white reinforces it. Link to comment
dmo_galleries_chicago_phot 0 Posted March 5, 2008 I think that's right, Ray. One could just as easily picture a 1976 Buick sitting there as the 1996 that's actually depicted. Link to comment
