dabar 0 Posted February 23, 2008 This is an abstraction on many levels. The bright, foreground colors are from an old smoke photo, but the shape is derived from the original. The background is derived from an asphalt background and then altered extensively. Nearly all the forms and shapes were created with the Fractalius plug-in. Do you like the end result? jana 1 Posted February 23, 2008 Hello Dave, I just bought the filter yesterday and applied to 1 image, it took 30 minutes before the computer was dead. How do You experience the computer resources usage when executing the filter (what size of the image do You have before applying?) thanks Jana Link to comment
dabar 0 Posted February 23, 2008 I have no resource issues yet with Fractalius. I am currently running it with Paint Shop x2 on a laptop. The laptop has 2GB memory and a 4GB page file space on a flash memory card. I am running a 1.8 Ghz dual-core Centrino. I am also running BOINC in the background at 50% mem and CPU usage while the computer is in use. I have not had any operation using Fractalius take longer that about one minute with an average image size of around 1.5 MB. Most complete in around 30 seconds. Hope this sheds some light on your problems... Good luck, Dave Link to comment
