A lovely portrait indeed but yes, alas, what a demanding taskmaster is beauty... But then again it is too easy to judge another culture from the comfort of our armchairs... I am grateful though that my daughter does not have to conform to this particular cultural demand. We are all slaves to the mores of our particular society... again, alas...
