It is a great shot. I think that Mehmet's interpretation is a bit overdone. A minor level adjustment will do, to increase the dramatic effect of the scene.

I agree with Andrew ... Mehmet's is a bit much for my taste. I like your version, but you could boost the levels a little bit.

 

MY first thought was ... "Oh my goodness! They're in the WATER watching lightning!!" Isn't that dangerous? Well, it's a really unique shot ... I like it a lot. I need to start learning how to shoot lightning. :-)

when it's so farway like this one.It's

just up in the clouds.

I agree also, a slight bump in levels, if you have the software some tone band manipulation would really make this photo outstanding.

Dramatic and exciting but we are told, here in Florida, lightning can strike even on a clear day. Too close for comfort! Well done.

Such a great composition. I like the line up of people, which are similar to the posts in the background. The blue-gray sky against the slightly yellow water also works well. Great work.
