John Peri 1,029 Posted February 20, 2008 Very nicely done Tanya. You have evaded the cliches and created something very personal in which the exchange of expressions is the core of the subject, not just the pregnancy. There is much tenderness in this photo, I like it very much. Thank you for showing it to us .. Link to comment
cherlyn 1 Posted February 20, 2008 Their interaction of love, without the need of words, is fully expressed through their body language & expresseion. A tender photo, Tanya. Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted February 20, 2008 Working in a maternity hospital for many years in labor rooms as well( was a supervisor in the hospital), I know many scenes of all kinds of human emotions and relations. This is the best of them all... Very soft and tender, you have well represented it. Link to comment
tanyatruong 0 Posted February 20, 2008 John, Cherlyn and Pnina for your observations and comments. One of my main goals in photography is to capture the expressions of human emotions under different circumstances. It's my blessing to witness and capture these intimate moments through my viewfinder. John! you read my mind via my images soooo well. Thanks, my dear friend. Cherlyn! Thank you for taking your time to enjoy this photo. Pnina! I've been working in Critical Care taking care of the sickest for too long. Now, i want to witness the Miracle of babies being born everyday at work like you did. I am looking for training in this area now ;O). Link to comment
pixel-power 0 Posted February 21, 2008 This is my favorite of these images. I like how you can see a bit more of the father-to-be. This is a wonderful image! I only wish his hand was turned the other direction with fingers pointing tword the belly. Here's why: the implied line from the man through the belly to the woman is great and unifies all three subjects. However, its being broken by the 5 lines of the fingers cutting accross. Don't get me wrong. This is an outstanding image. Great mood. Love the photojournalist feel. Just giving a little "if I could do it over again" suggestion. Great Job! Link to comment
tanyatruong 0 Posted February 21, 2008 Well-taken, Pixel. I will look through the rest of the images of this photo session, hopefully i will find what you are looking for :o). She is 5-month pregnant of their first child (his second), i think he's giving her a lot of love and attention because the nature of maternal need for love and affection. I capture what i don't have, can not have, or wish to have through these images. God knows, how much i wish to be loved and having a child :o). Hehe! So much for a confession. I consider myself blessed with seeing so much beauties in life, and able to capture them through my viewfinder. Thanks again for your thoughtful comment, Pixel. Warmly, Tanya. Link to comment
