Was photographed at a concert of Baroque music ,an unformal evening in honor of the mandolin and guitars builder artist.

Thanks for your impressions.

Pnina, your works have always a good quality, sometimes I like more ones from the others but the quality is always there. this is one that I like. Thank you for your kind words to my photos. Regards.

When you give me a mud-fiddler and I have the choice then I take the fiddle :-))

Nice the overall chaining by the colour, keeping interest by the contrasting shapes (of violin and shadow). I even could take this work without a tiny part at the top expecting the instrument more intense...

The tones of the wooden floor , the instrument and the wall, merge into a single expression. The play of shadows on the wall looks musical, echoing the bridge and strings of the instrument. A very warm and inviting portrayal.

Pnina; I did not become lost at the bottom of the sea LOL .... just crazy busy since arriving home from holidays :)

very beatifull PN ina, good eye to see this, the background makes this, otherwise it would be just this instrument, nothing wrong whit that ofcourse, it has a 'painted' look, STILL (life) indeed....

Oh GREAT! Another musical instrument image. I thought you were done. (Hope not!)

I LOVE this ... the color tones are perfect, and the composition, with the shadows ... it's a wonderful image, Pnina!

I like the wood on wood because it brings out the beauty of the instrument, the shadows forms behind it which give the impression of late in the day, a time to listen to a beautiful concert, and the red velvet rest for the neck, which emphasizes its value.

This evokes cubism to me: George Braque in treatment and feel. I think the shadows are exquisite. This feels rooted more in your career as painter than as dancer or musician. Lovely!!

Tim, I like your browns too, they are called earth colors...

Adan, and Roger I'm glad you liked the shadows, yes they make the image.

Jeff, and Janusz thansk for braque and Spanish.... ,

I think Jeff that all my work is rooted at the end in my painting love and education. Thanks for feeling and expressing it.

Warm amber lighting to enhance the richness of the wood of the instrument and a nice play of intriguing shadows makes you wonder what is just outside the picture.

The shadows on the wall give this photo energy and life. I also thought of cubism and find, as Gordon does, that the shadows echo a musical theme. That background is offset by what I experience as a somewhat lifeless pose of the instrument itself. It rests there, leaning just a bit downward on its case which obstructs an otherwise concise and geometric composition. The warm and subdued colors provide a very nice overall feel to the photo and the lighting accompanies those tones quite beautifully.
