What bewilders me is what's going to happen, in 30 years, to these tatoos. Art (photography) is most powerful when it produces an emotional response, and there's lots of that kind debate on this site.

 

I remain perplexed by the commitment to this much ink, but that's the power of the image.

Robert has nicely encapsulated my thoughts about tattoos. I am so bewildered by the allure of ink that as a result, the photo does nothing for me.

 

It feels more like a crime-scene photo than the work of art intended by its creator.

Thanks everyone for the comments. They are real and in fact shes not finished with the one side. While I dont care for that many tattoos either, she and many other people I have known who had tattoos say they are very addicting. Personally I love the artwork, the artist was really good.
