alberta_pizzolato 21 Posted February 29, 2008 Wonderful colors - so rich with that warm, gold glow. The water spouting from the fountain is perfectly captured, frozen in a moment. The visitors put it all in perspective. This is a huge building (I should probably recognize it but sadly I do not). So are the trees, dramatic in all their bare-branched beauty. The clarity is phenomenal down to the birds on the lake and the flags on the roof line. Wonderful travelogue. Thanks for the trip! Link to comment
loic brohard 0 Posted February 29, 2008 Hi Alberta, many thanks for the nice comments, I am honored. The photo has been taken from the Blue Bridge, in the middle of St James's Park towards east, at sunset explaining the colors on the building. The fountain is the Swire Fountain. The 'pedestrians' zone is the Horse Guards Parade, and the main building is one of the Old Admiralty Buildings. I was also impressed with the rather acceptable clarity of the details given the distance and my 75-300mm zoom. Only thing I am not happy about is that the photo looks slightly tilted... To put a map behind the photo, so your travel is complete : http://www.royalparks.org.uk/docs/park_maps/st_jamess_park2.pdf / Thanks again for having taking the time to comment. Cheers, Loic Link to comment
