Going through some old images from DC. This one from the Fall of 2006. I took the shot at 10mm, but have "skewed" it to fix the perspective. Thus, the square crop. Is it too post-card-y? Other thoughts?

I like the unusual square crop against the vertical structure. The trees in the foreground create a nice contrast of informal against very formal. Not sure if its digital but creates the impression of large format film.

Picturesque. I think this photo does a better job of highlighting the monument than the one with the dramatic clouds. The clear blue sky provides a nice backdrop, and the reflection of the sunlight really highlights the monument.
