aepelbacher 0 Posted February 17, 2008 A good friend and her husband took me out on their boat so that I could shoot the Waterfront as dusk fell. The water was choppier than you might think from this image. I got a couple of clear shots before it got too dark, though ... and this is the only image that was somewhat in focus after it really started to get dark out. From here we whisked back to the marina.... Link to comment
alberta_pizzolato 21 Posted February 18, 2008 Charming shot, Lou Ann, and one that will bring back fond memories for many years to come I'm sure. I have a weakness for photos of water and sky that are the same color. The imagery is powerful and romantic at the same time. Cheers ~ Link to comment
cycler48 8 Posted February 18, 2008 I really like this one more than the others. Great time of the day for a Buffalo waterfront photo and including the boat in the frame adds to the photo. You could pass this on to the chamber of commerce to use in their advertising. Well done. My dad had a boat and I really enjoyed my time on the river and Lake Erie. I learned how to waterski at Strawberry Island when I was about 10 years old. Link to comment
aepelbacher 0 Posted February 18, 2008 Thanks, Alberta and Mark - I typically think that the only people interested in photos of the Buffalo area are people from Buffalo. :-) Link to comment
Donna Stavis 0 Posted February 29, 2008 My sister teaches at SUNY Buffalo. The last time I visited her, her neighbor--an older guy who grew up around there-- took me all over the city, and I remember looking at this spot. The sailboat at dusk, city lights, and rich blues...greys...give a romantic feel. Link to comment
aepelbacher 0 Posted February 29, 2008 Cool! I have always loved Buffalo's waterfront. They really need to do something to draw more people down there! Link to comment
