lbattjes 0 Posted February 25, 2008 Simply beautiful, Hanna. The lighting here does it for me. Plus, that color is definitely attention-grabbing! Nicely done. Leslie Link to comment

lesa jones 0 Posted March 19, 2008 Very nice shot Hanna! Wonderful and bold composition. What did you use for lighting? I have attempted shots like this, have difficulty with wash out in some areas. It looks like you had better luck...LJ Link to comment
hanna_cowpe 0 Posted March 20, 2008 Hi Lesa, I have to say it has been a year since I took this shot and I'm not sure what the exact circumstances were. I rarely use flash so this is probably window light. Most of my indoor flower shooting is done in a west facing bay window, so it has light coming from three sides. There are translucent curtains which I use to control glare on subjects which are more likely to reflect the light. I have a selection of matt board in various colours I use for background. If I recall, I did lay the tulip down in some of these shots. I do sometimes use a polariser but find that can reduce the crispness and give a bit of flatness to the image. And of course, I use a tripod. All in all, it's a bit of an experiment, trying out various approaches to see what works best. Thanks for your interest. Link to comment
