Last nights sunset -- Anchorage, Alaska. Comments appreciated.

I like that the image is both cold and warm at the same time.

Great shot with heavenly light and sharp details.

Hey Dave, I was wondering if you could share with me how you do this. I was recently at some great sunsets and found that these shots, if I tried to hold the range through the whole image, always ended up with a much larger area of blown out highlights around the sun so that it didn't end up like a round ball. Do you know what the aperture and exposure was for this shot? Did you use any ND filtration? Post processing? Thanks. Dave

3 Shots manually blended. All shot at F16 @ 20mm at varing shutter speeds and adjusted in layers.

Dave, very nice! I like the combination of snow, sea, and sunset. The red glow on the foreground rocks is a nice effect. With the conditions I don't know if you could have gotten a little more contrast - but that may have made it pop a little more. Happy shooting, Dave

Comment from a "D" but not a "David". Such a pretty glow on the snow from the reflection of the sunset. The rich red contrast on the white snow makes it a most attractive photo.
