hanna_cowpe 0 Posted February 16, 2008 I found the lines and angles interesting and graphic. Your thoughts are appreciated. Link to comment
jim craig 0 Posted February 16, 2008 I agree about the lines and angles and see why it would catch your eye. I also like the contrast of the powder blue against the several tones of red in the building at the rear. Good use of DOF, precise focusing and nice lighting brought out all the fine detail of the brick work. Link to comment
yelenashuey 0 Posted February 16, 2008 one of my favorite images, such variety or color and texture, but composition is not clattered. Link to comment
hanna_cowpe 0 Posted February 16, 2008 The nice thing about photography - even the nasty bits of the city look good! Jim and Yelena, thanks for your response. Link to comment
beaz 0 Posted March 10, 2008 Now this get's my neurons firing... This could be a textbook illustration of golden-mean composition. I also like the combination of colors, the diverse texture and overlapping elements. I think the steel fence in the foreground enhances a feeling of depth. Link to comment
hanna_cowpe 0 Posted March 17, 2008 Jerry, this was one of those scenes that presented itself instantly as balanced and 'right' to my eye. I was hurrying to catch up with my photography companion when this picture appeared. I think the critical thing was the light falling on the blue wall, warming up the colours and bringing out the contrast with the ironwork. I'm pleased you like it. Thanks. Link to comment
shots worth sharing 1 Posted May 3, 2008 Ooof, yes--perfect! It's impressive in intricacy and scale. There are an almost infinite number of crops which would be fine photographs in themselves but this just goes on and on and on. Part of the fun of viewing this is seeing those little snippets Link to comment
