this is a very nice image. It is tack sharp and the lighting is soft and has wrapped around the subject. the most interesting thing is the separation of the image from the background which has made the subject stand out. the amount of blur is fascinating and the angle of view has left nothing obtrusive in the background that can distract the viewer, but I cant understand why there is so much of a blank space around the subject. I think a vertical frame would be more appropriate.

man! your shot of the red tail is great. That must have been a thrill.

Try photo shopping the background gray on the Junco pic. See if that doesn't make him jump out at you alittle.

Bill... :-) This brings a smile. These little birds are quite personable and you've caught one at it's best. We don't have them here in my town, but in the mountains of Tennessee the Juncos that I encounter are around every hiking rest stop, unafraid, and usually watching for a handout. Excellent shot!
