Guest Guest Posted February 15, 2008 I love environmental B&W nudes and this is a good one. Link to comment
joe_gallagher 0 Posted February 15, 2008 It is indeed a look of lonliness and dejection. To see the emptiness in a beautiful woman in this simple and spare setting is moving. Thanks Link to comment
ericf1 0 Posted February 15, 2008 John, It as been said many times before, but I will say it again. The comfort your subjects feel in front of the camera, and also you as the photographer, is quite evident. This image feels like we have been given a brief glimpse into her emotions, not merely a brief glimpse of her body. Link to comment
davidmccracken 2 Posted February 15, 2008 ... not much else to say really. A good one! Link to comment
jim wrightwood 0 Posted February 15, 2008 Although probably not your intention, a beautiful Valentine's Day portrait. I find the other side of the Hallmark card to be quite emotional within this image. My wife had a drink with a beautiful self confessed lonely woman on this very day. Interesting how an image can represent reality so clearly. Link to comment
maddox 0 Posted February 15, 2008 A beautiful, moody and intriguing image, John. I love the lighting and the simplicity of the composition. To paraphrase what others have already said, it gives the viewer more to look into... not just to look at. Very well-done! -Michael Link to comment
claude_lamontagne2 0 Posted February 15, 2008 I love this photo, it reminds me Isabella Rossellini in my favorite Lynch's movie "Blue Velvet" Link to comment

tv_calyagne 0 Posted February 16, 2008 I would have stood up and clapped for this photo, if only it were not for the almost screaming intrusion of the neat lines of the centre of the photograph by the edge elements. But, still, its a very well done piece of work. Link to comment
sideris 0 Posted February 17, 2008 Perhaps one of the most emotional photographs you have done. The atmosphere is plenty of a sweet sadness, memories, and a decision she must take in a while. This mood is achieved mainly because the great lightning, again, you compose a delicious tale based on a subtle, soft and very clever way of lights managing.Unforgettable John. Link to comment
