davidmccracken 2 Posted February 12, 2008 I have no doubt they are... You have some interesting pets. Budgies are cuter. Seriously, an interesting image although I would like it to be a little sharper. What is it? Link to comment
paradox1 0 Posted February 12, 2008 Thanks David. I agree it would look a little better if sharpened. However the extremely light background caused a little more noise than usual, so I eased off on the sharpening. To answer your question, it is in fact a caterpillar (what type I am unsure of). All of my macro shots are of wild animals as my only pets are two dogs. Although this caterpillar was pushed on to a piece of photograph paper because the foliage of the tree was just to dense and I was losing light. Thanks for the comment. Link to comment

photis santamouris 23 Posted February 13, 2008 The image worths 7ns.Colours and light are superb.I'm not the one who 'll ask for better resolution. And of course I can't stand the temptation to compare the title with what's happening nowadays here,in our site.Mass destruction weapons are for me a ridiculous use of a PC hard disk, along with a line connection, among others, given the fact they come from a human brain with a major breakdown ,considering corrupted registry ! dseltzer 0 Posted February 13, 2008 What an amazing critter! And I love your title. I'm glad you said what it is, because I don't think I'd ever have gotten it. Pity the poor bird that tries to swallow this guy! BTW, the level of sharpness seems fine to me. Great find and capture. Link to comment
paradox1 0 Posted February 14, 2008 Thanks P&G Phos and David your comments are greatly appreciated. You are right Phos there is a big problem with copyright. Especially with that site http://pic.playcomet.com/Ken_Boxsell-100076.html Thats why my upload res is always so low. I dont mind so much if someone simply enjoys the image but I would hate to think someone may try to make money from an image of mine. Link to comment

vancouverphotographer 1 Posted February 28, 2008 Terrific colours on this and nice idea to isolate it on a piece of paper! Link to comment
