Thanks. I was greeted by 30 cm of snow and - 26 C. upon my return from Honduras. A bit of an adjustment period is in order. It was fun having a completeley different type of forest to mess around with.

Slow shutter motion study of palms. I hoped to capture the tropical

feel while creating an impressionistic interpretation. Thanks for any

comments and constructive critique.

Gordon...I find the colors here very unique and unusual. I have come to expect something truly original every time I visit your newest aditions. I find the light tint of pink-purple in this image quite charming!

Simply put this series of your latest offerings are of high quality with good diversity. This particular artwork appeals strongly by the complexity as well as by the color palette that amazes me deeply. I'm thrilled - again.

Reminds me of Lilt (the drink with the totally tropical taste)! Beautiful colours which contrast nicely with the more autumnal colours appearing in some of your other motion studies. This picture is sweet - the amount of movement just right to give a wonderfully smooth and dynamic, yet really solid feeling to the trunks.

Bet it must be nice to have got back home and away from that terrible warm weather ;)

Don't ya just love all the folks with a sense of humor....nice to be home away from that tropical warmth.....right! Of the three recent motion studies this is my favorite, it does have that wonderful lush "jungle" feel to it, the abstract motion sways with the breeze in the palms, and I can hear the birds, the wind feels like a velvety caress....now I've got to go shovel snow, oh joy. When you finally make up your mind what printer to buy I'll be one of your first customers, there's some images I'd love to have prints of, and this is one of them.

I'm just slack-jawed over this one. A movement study, to be sure, yet the lines are so clean and crisp. The light is brilliant without being harsh, and there's great fun in all the intertwining of the leaf patterns. Another great piece, Gord!

My computer nearly "died" and I did not have it for 4 days....Now I have a new one!

I think that where ever you will be, tropical or -26 degree forests.... your level is just as good as always.This is so very beautiful in form and composition ,I like the texture and the warm feeling of the green colors. Welcome back Gord.

Shay;

Good to hear from you... been a while.

I was not thinking about Tero's work when I took this. I was enjoying playing with a different kind of forest and was trying to take advantage of the vertical and linear nature of the palms. I imagine palms are not exotic for you but I rarely get to work with them. I do on occasion see some overlapping results between what Tero does and what I do.

Jay;

I'm glad you wandered over and I am also glad you enjoyed what you saw when yopu arrived.

Cheers

Gord

I see the palms sweep into an impression of a bird darting and soaring through the bamboo. Lively colour too.
