Moving on from the swamps of Mississippi to New Orleans. I only actually spent a couple of hours downtown on a HOT August morning. If you want to read my blog from the previous evening about driving into NO from Mississippi past so much of the devastation that still sits unattended, you can find it at http://www.louannsplace.com/2007/08/new-orleans.html.

I was quite captivated by this beautiful cathedral and the park in front of it. The sky was optimal for use of my 10mm lens opened wide, so I didn't attempt to "fix" the perspective on this shot.

This will be the first in a series....

I'd love to hear any thoughts that you may have. Thanks!

Beautiful scene, well captured, Lou Ann. And that sky - in total cooperation. Looking forward to more from this part of the journey.

Cheers ~

Hey Lou Ann if you haven't already heard there's a website that's been "stealing" images off PN, pic.playcomet.com, there's an ongoing thread about it in Casual Conversations.
