Here's a shot documenting the native American occupation of the

abandoned federal prison island of Alcatraz in 1970. About 100 native

Americans, mostly young people, moved onto the island in November 1968

in an effort to promote the use of the abandoned prison as a cultural

and educational center. The invaders were removed by authorities 19

months later. Comments and critiques are always welcome. Thanks...Bill

Why don't you call them Indians. Probably they would be proud of that. And probably you would be proud of them. Haha.. you are! Am I wrong? For me as a Dutch guy America in my youth was (by reading..) just the Indian country, in spite of all those by smoking white Peters Stuyvesants. :)
