aepelbacher 0 Posted February 8, 2008 Last (but not least) in the current series of swamp cypress from the Natchez Trace Parkway in Mississippi. This is definitely my favorite, although I can't really put my finger on *why* it's my favorite. What are your thoughts? Link to comment
lonebearimages 0 Posted February 8, 2008 Good composition, and the color balance on this looks spot-on. I really think the greens and magenta on the previous postings (e.g., #7-9) ought to be revisited. I think you've found the right prescription with this one. Nifty light too. Good details on the 'primordial ooze.' I'm assuming that you didn't dangle your toes in this stuff; did you? Cheers! Chris Link to comment
aepelbacher 0 Posted February 8, 2008 Don't forget my previous comments about being, um, "concerned" about alligators.... Link to comment
kim_tural 0 Posted February 9, 2008 This is also my favorite of the three you just posted. The play of light is very interesting in this one and adds "life" to the shot. The way the trees line up diagonaly is a plus as well. Way to go!!! Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted February 9, 2008 Very nice image Lou Ann. I like the different direction of the trees, the play of light on the green ground . Nice DOF ,and well cropped and composed. my favorite. Link to comment
torfinn 0 Posted February 9, 2008 Great colours, composition, and details. Best regards Torfinn. Link to comment
susan stone 0 Posted February 9, 2008 It's my fav too, I think it's just because we're up closer and more personal to the trees here, the nice light makes it all feel less intimidating. Colors are just right....maybe B&W with a little infrared editing?! Link to comment
aepelbacher 0 Posted February 9, 2008 Susan - I really wanted to post all of these swamp pics here on photo.net in color, because I really love the lush greens. I have been playing with B&W renderings of them all, as well, and when the time comes to print, I may have to do a B&W series/collection. :-) Link to comment
