What a wonderful image. It creates a mood of isolation. Or maybe it is just bringing out something I'm feeling. In any case it's really well done. The light and composition create quite a scene.

i agree w/barbara except for me i'd like it to be a bit lighter so i can make out all the details. maybe it's just my cataracts! this is a great shot, tho. congrats, lori

Wonderful image. Maybe the slight darkness adds to the mood? Would hate to blow out the highlights on this. Agree it's a little on the dark side. Really like it though.

thanks, by the way, for your somewhat cryptic review of my photo of grass today, concluding with 'thanks anyway'. from what i gather, you meant "your picture sucks, but i acknowledge that you had SOME intent behind it (just what WERE you thinking?)." lol you might as well have left it at 'your picture sucks."

 

Just to show you how people's tastes differ, I happen to like this shot a lot and it didn't bother me that there was no obvious subject -- the subject is just the pattern and the color of light, and I have seen a fair amount of this on photo.net lately.

 

Not to say you are not entitled to your opinion, and i appreciate receiving it as it is more grist for my mill -- more to learn and understand how others see the world and my work in particular. And I expect most people will have the same reaction you did, by the way. Anyway, i am in good humor this morning, and your brief comment struck a chord in me, so here i am.
