bosshogg 4 Posted February 8, 2008 What a beautiful image. Not the sort that I perceive you doing normally. I think everything about it is done really well, with the exception of the fruit at the base. It seems overdone to me. I think the vase and wilted flowers deserve the primary focus, and by having so much going on below, it dilutes the richness of the rest of the image. Perhaps without the lowest three fruits? But, by any means, the rich colors and deep shadows combined with vibrancy of life and contrasted with the moribund flowers, is just terrific. Great work. Link to comment
photis santamouris 23 Posted February 8, 2008 Light and shadows play a nice game here. The tangerines add to the image, but I would prefer all of them be in the shade,so as not to compete with the main subject. Link to comment

pnital 36 Posted February 9, 2008 Emamnuel, very unusual, still life. The dark shadow and blue light, the contrasting color melange and composition all are working in a beautiful harmony . Aside from the open fruit, that being the brightest spote here, is a very strong competition to the harmony of the whole, well done. Link to comment
joe-tury 0 Posted February 10, 2008 You are the master of capturing "earthy" tones.A thought provoking image. Life and death. Link to comment
adan1 0 Posted March 1, 2008 Genially creative. Usually when we see still pictures of flowers and fruits we rely on those elements to captivate us with their beauty. Not so in this case. The flowers in your composition are wilted and the fruit is shown open and partly consumed. Instead you rely on colors and textures to appeal us. The pairings of yellow, orange and blue make for a strong and effective contrast. The texture of the blue cloth serving as background is so salient that we seem to be touching it with our eyes. A great work Emmanuel. Link to comment
