le-plume 0 Posted February 7, 2008 An attempt to capture the low winter light, in a stray corner of my parents' garden.. Link to comment
tonmestrom 4 Posted February 7, 2008 It's a nice image taken with a very good camera but not the most forgiving film. It's got way too much contrast. Like the straightforwardness tough. Link to comment
le-plume 0 Posted February 7, 2008 Thanks for your input; that was my first try with Neopan. Indeed, it does lack in greyscale gradation. I'll probably go back to my usual Ilford rolls - and maybe try Adox Efke if I can lay my hands on it! Link to comment
zambaras 0 Posted February 12, 2008 Christophe, I understand the point about high contrast, but i think it is exactly that which combined with the incoming light intensity, gives a surreal feeling and adds strength to the composition. Very well done! Link to comment
luis triguez 138,683 Posted June 7, 2008 Composition perfect and the climax wonderful. What a good photographer can do even with poor film!. I miss my Yashica Mat 124 G. My old eyes couldn't focus properly any more with such a gem. Link to comment
le-plume 0 Posted June 7, 2008 Luis, thank you so much for your encouraging comments. I enjoy this camera very much indeed, even though it's not the one I use the most - that would be either the Pentax MX or the ME Super, mostly because they're much easier to carry. Well, actually, my Canon Ixus P&S is well past the 10.000 pictures mark by now - so that would be my most used camera, I guess. Basically: I enjoy having to use different sets of gestures, depending on which camera I use. Part of the game! Link to comment
