wingell 0 Posted February 7, 2008 Against a backdrop of fog-shrouded San Francisco Bay, a tepee is positioned along the edge of the abandoned federal prison island of Alcatraz in 1970. About 100 native Americans, mostly young people, occupied the prison for 19 months in an attempt to have the facility designated as a cultural and educational center. Link to comment
