Hi Meir.  I hope you are all right, healthy and happy.

The photograph is very good, but I don't like it.  Ok I haw to explain.

When I was younger I liked guns, like the target shooting an I was in a police shooting club for a while.  Then I learned more of life, violence, wars, etc, etc, and started to hate, or dislike guns, even to see them. Learned and lectured lots of history, not that one they teaching you in the school.  Recently reread Heminways, "For Whom The Bell Tolls", and get more sick of the human suffering, stupidity, ignorance, mental sickness, and so on and so on and so on.

I greatly appreciate your talent for photography, I can charge the quality of your images in an artistic and photography point of values, with is very high.

The guns,  . . .  I hate them.

By the way, I don't rate any images, because I don't believe the retting system for art.

I hope you doing well my old friend.

Bela

Yes, I know how you feel. Israelis don't like guns either (don't hate; just don't like).

Probably a reminder of  the onus of mandatory military service they had to do. Guns were never anywhere part of the Jewish culture. Not a Jewish thing.

Israel has one of the lowest homicide rates in the world. You have been here. You know how it is.

Being an Israeli who grew in America I grew up with guns and like guns.  I associate guns with sport and personal protection. I own guns. The second to last thing I want to do is shoot someone.

I read the book also.

Thanks Bela for commenting.

I always follow your work. Always fine photography. You've been doing some new things -not like year ago.

Additionally Bela; the guns in the photo are for protection =-making you safer. The only one who need fear them, hate them,  is the suicide bomber. You know how it is.

2007 this was taken. G_d time flies.

Hi Meir. Before we misunderstand each others, I know, guns is necessary for protection of the person whom try to keep law and order against creasy and criminal people.

I meant, generally, experiencing, seeing, learning how many innocent people died of the indiscriminate use of guns, by individuals, criminal organizations, governments, etc, etc.

People, empires, civilizations, never achieved anything positive, for the common people, except thinning then out,  in the known history of humanity, in the long or short time. Wars, continued not ending wars, what we doing in the last hundred years, created more problems, and the beneficiaries was always the rich and powerful, the makers of guns, guns of many type. Including psychological guns.

Unfortunately the education of the masses gone toward the guns, instead of educate people for the mind, for real humanitarian living, not the miss used way as we using this word to day, " Humanitarian",  and keep killing each others, reason we humans creating any twisted way.

I was looking at your full portfolio, big part of this afternoon, and I tell you, you are a real professional photographer. Even if I'm not commenting on your individual images, I'm still looking, checking your works.

I did my mandatory military service too, in Hungary, in the Communist era. It is not communist anymore, and it is not better now then there was for the average people. It is worst.

Shalom my Good Friend.
