A hollywood lighting setup is one where the light is directly in front of the model, shot down from a 45 degree angle. It creates a very small shadow right under the nose (it looks kind of like a butterfly...this setup is also called a butterfly lighting setup). It tends to be flattering to women because it makes noses look smaller and skin look smoother (not that that is a problem with this model, who has very nice skin). Check out this forum post on lighting techniques: http://photo.net/bboard/q-and-a-fetch-msg?msg_id=008bWl.

When I saw this image, I was immediately drawn to the gorgeous light and tones. I love the one single sparkle in her eye and the expression on her face and hand. I didn't notice her nose at all until reading the former critique; her eyes are so strong and beautiful that, for me, the shape and shadow is not bothersome. I find the rich, dark tones extremely lovely and overall, a very appealing photograph.

Very nice lighting, This look very familiar to the Kuklinski style of lighting It is when you use a little halogen light in your living room. I hope this helps you with your lighting techniques.
