This is a bit of a departure for me (away from the usually more macho-

toned images of bird dogs and their people that I seem to produce).

I'm trying, here, to keep the light, tones, and atmosphere consistent

with the soft and sweet nature of the subjects. It's harder than I

thought! Thanks for comments.

Lovely colors. The puppy's tongue is a nice complement to your young model's pale pink top.

As with the earlier pictures in this series, everything is soft and cuddly. You should be shot. (Just playing, Matt: I couldn't resist a feint of cynicism.) No, as I commented yesterday, this has a most appealing combination of color, light, and models...all soft and appealing as a...well, as a puppy. I like it.

I agree with Tim...this is a really nice image. I even lie the blow highlights...was this ambient or did you use strobe fill? If you used any flash, it is impossible to detect. Kudos! Cheers, Jay

Nope, just ambient light. The room was lit through some sheer curtains, and wasn't very bright. It was one of those occasions where a stabilized lens was really handy, given the low shutter speed.

Beautiful portrait, I love the soft pastels. Charming in every aspect.
