low lighting makes for good mystery. fitting to the subject. lower part of the face seems a touch out of focus.

This is an interesting photo but begs for more information. Is that volcanic ash covering the skull where there was once flesh? What more can you tell us about this image?

I think the DOF, the slight blur on the bottom of the face, the angle of the skull, and the positioing in the frame all come together to give this photo a sense of motion. It seems like this skull is turning from the left to face us. That adds to the unsettling aspect. Then again, the texture on the wall reminds me of clown hair. Great photo.

What an amazing photo! I think those teeth add a lot to the image, they make it look human. Quite disturbing!

This guy died on August 24, 79 AD when Mount Vesuvius erupted and covered the city of Pompeii with twenty to thirty feet of lava and ash. Cool shot nice lighting/exposure I would rat this a 10/9 if it were sharp still very good though.
