Thanks for your time to comment. The black is not a frame. It is filler to square off and center photos on the thumbnail page. There are no horizontal or veritcal formats. All photos with filler are square format. That's all the black is about. I explained this a couple times. You can see better what happens in the comments at http://photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=7007354 thank you.

I know about the black stripes, you were kind enough to explain to me again... could you try the same concept and put a grey like the one of this website? just to try... are the thumbnails more important than the photos themselves? but of course, this is your work... you are the one that has to be happy...

Hi, marie. I think I tried gray and it is fine for the thumbnails. For the larger image you still have stripes that people don't like. Of course too, there are too many photos to change them all. As for which is more important, the thumbnail or the large image? It is the thumbnail because that is the only image that people see. Very few times does anyone open up the large image -as I saw when the visitor counter was working. Thanks for the good rating. Again you saved the day else my averages would be horrible.

The anonymous rates are made in the "rate photos", where people rate any kind of photos, even if it is a genre that don't interest them. That is why some rates can be very low, and out of purpose. you have to put the importance to the opinion of people who dare to make a non anonymous rate... most of the time it is more rewarding... (not always, lololol)

Yes, Marie, I know about the anonymous. That is why it is good to start the critique by saying: "if you are under 12 do not rate my photos." .... how many times do I tell them and they do not listen.!

let me than be the first to comment on the actual photo. Your composition is spot-on and further enhanced by that sign. Great tonality overall makes this into a very appealing photo. Good work
