Joan - this was taken the day we had lunch. :-)

Everyone else - The Chautauqua Belle is a turn of the century paddle boat that does tours of Chautauqua Lake. The highlight is going past the Chautauqua Institute around noon to hear the bells chime in this tower. It's a cool ride.

Please see my previous image (wheel reflected in the water) for my comments on this point and shoot camera........

What are your thoughts?

Keep the sky. You don't want the horizon at the center of the frame.

If you crop it, just crop a little.

This is one of the best photos I've seen of the beach and tower.... Most of us try to capture it from land. Thank you.... It was a special day for me...

Oh - it was a wonderful day for me, too! I think that one of these days I'll try to get back there and actually REMEMBER my cf card so that I can use my real camera. The sky was almost flawless ... the only problem was the lack of clouds. :-) I took a zillion shots ... different zooms and angles ... and this is probably the only one that turned out okay. I want another shot at it! :-)
