celasun 0 Posted April 1, 2008 The "triangles" make my eyes wander around the photo. I liked the "squeezed" framing since the girl also looks like as if she is -at least momentarily- unhappy. Her arm keeps her face hidden and this adds a sense of mystery. I know you take excellent photographs using ordinary equipment; but, this is not one them. I mean, this time the equipment was also good! Thanks for sharing this... Link to comment
myattphotoandfotoart39 1 Posted April 1, 2008 Your nature shots are beautiful and my favorite. I am pleased that you wrote this critique on my girl on Yafo street because the comment drew me to your site. Perhaps you are correct in writing "excellent photographs...but, this is not one them.." You wrote too "using ordinary equipment.. but this time the equipment was also good.." This last comment confuses me as I always use about the same equipment, namely Nikons (but Hasselblads too sometimes). As for the tight crop you mention, I cannot take full credit. I would like to have her fott but I could not. My back was against a wall. Link to comment
celasun 0 Posted April 2, 2008 I remember seeing -and admiring- some of your photos taken by a P&S (Gateway?) camera. I have only noticed that her foot is missing only after you wrote about it. Strange!. (I still like the photo as much even without the foot). By the way, thanks for your comments on my lucky shots :) Link to comment
myattphotoandfotoart39 1 Posted April 2, 2008 The Gateway DC-T50 was the first and best digital camera I have owned. It gave minimal digital artifacts. At 6 megapixels I made 16x20 Archival which prints which are as tack sharp as any of my Nikons Film Cameras (I have 3). I don't have it anymore. Link to comment
